Don't forget to listen to X-06 this Xmas - New episode out now!

You can now listen to the final episode of Series 3 of X-06: FUTURESPY - and you may detect a Christmas theme...

Christmas in Paris offers the ex-secret agent the chance to find himself, and maybe even a little romance. But they don't just let spies resign and walk away, do they?

X-06 better watch out. Santa Claus is coming to town.

It's a complicated episode, this one - at least it was for me to plot it - and very much inspired by the Prisoner. How would Patrick McGoohan have done a "Christmas Special" of the Prisoner? Probably not like this, but you get the idea of what I was aiming for.

The episode is available from places that do podcasts, or directly below.

Yes, I know the first of December is far too early for Christmas stuff (but my neighbours have their decorations out - so what do I know) but to give this episode as much of a chance of picking up listeners typing "Christmas" into their search bar, I wanted to bring this out a little early. Downloads are rather low at the moment, so I wanted to give this one every chance to do well.

If you'd like to see (or hear!) a fourth series, please like, comment, share, subscribe etc. If you like the show, get others to listen to it.

That's it from X-06 for 2023, apart perhaps from a little annual treat nearer Christmas Day. Thank you for your support this year. Be seeing you?

New episode available now from your podcast provider

X:06 FUTURESPY returns for a one-off story... In tonight's episode, “Sea Dragon”, Space Age Spy X-06 faces his toughest assignment yet - to destroy an underwater supercomputer! X-06: FUTURESPY is the cult 1960’s TV show that you can’t remember because it never happened.... Inspired by classic British spy and sci-fi telly of the sixties, X-06: FUTURESPY is deliberately presented as a “lost” old-fashioned period piece. Any hisses and crackles you hear on this recording are quite deliberate, as low-fidelity is to be expected from audio retrieved by laser-accelerated spectography from a parallel universe 1966. What’s this? Looks like a book cover to me

The declassification process continues but we’re reasonably confident the X-06: FUTURESPY book will be made available for your eyes only within a matter of weeks. I realise this is all a bit weird... a faked novelisation of three non-existent TV shows that were never transmitted because I only just thought it up this year... but I hope you find it was worth your time and attention.  I will say that if you are a fan of any (or all) of the following there is something especially for you in these stories: Thunderbirds Captain Scarlet Stingray Doctor Who The Prisoner Danger Man The Man From UNCLE ... basically everything broadcasted on the UK’s BBC2 in their early evening ‘cult tv’ slot during the 1990s plus an extra sprinkle of McGoohan!
