 Series 2 of X-06: FUTURESPY


Series 2 is one continuous storyline, in which X-06 is locked away in a Russian prison. I liked the idea of 'going back to basics' and making the story about the characters rather than the sci-fi setting and action. Doing this enabled me to cement X-06's character, which I hadn't really got a firm grip on until then. I was using a professional microphone by this point, so the sound quality is much improved, also we now have fantastic art and music from the talented Mister Brown. My favourite episode is "Dedushka" as I enjoyed voicing the titular character. Least favourite is "Dear Boy" - though I think it's very good - as it was incredibly hard to write and perform. Hopefully I got away with it though!

I see them as novelisations of episodes of a lost TV show, but they work as short stories just as well.
